Artist Statement – ‘Bankers Tree- Winter’ is part of the Four Seasons series of mixed media. Negative photograph with pastel highlights create the illusion of snow in this stately oak tree on a chilly winter’s evening. The real tree stands behind one of the Shore’s oldest bank buildings, located in Onancock. Clements has documented the slow demise of this wonderful old oak in other works, mostly as photography. The additional three seasons- Spring, Summer, and Fall are available to accompany Winter. Commissions and custom work accepted.
